Ride-Along Program

Ride Along

The Police Department recognizes the need and benefit for citizens to observe police operations on a first hand basis. Persons meeting the program qualifications may be provided the opportunity to ride with a patrol officer under the stipulated policy guidelines. It shall be the policy of the Sweet Home Police Department to encourage interested citizens to take part in the Ride-Along Program. It is hoped this policy will help promote a better understanding of the officer's responsibilities and relationship to the community and to facilitate an exchange of ideas and points of view between officers and the citizens of Sweet Home.
