Set Aside / Expungement Information

SET ASIDES

How can I get something off my criminal record?
A set aside is sometimes called expungement or expunction.  It means the court record of a criminal or contempt case is sealed by the court and will not appear in official court records.  Municipal Court convictions can only be set aside in accordance with Oregon Revised Statutes regarding set asides. A set aside is a legal process provided by ORS 137.225 in which a Court orders the setting aside of a conviction, and/or a record of an arrest. Click on the link to Oregon Revised Statutes.
