Commander Leland began her career with Sweet Home Police Department in April of 1981 as a part time dispatcher. She went full time in 1984 and was promoted in 1991. Commander Leland received her DPSST Basic Telecommunicator Certification in May of 1994, She received both her DPSST Intermediate and Advanced Certificates in October of 1999.
In her current position she supervises both the dispatch and records divisions of the police department. She is also the administrative assistant to the Chief of Police and fills the role of office manager.
