Ordinance No. 13 for 1997 - Authorizing the Transfer of Funds from Contingency to the Executive Department Advertising Line in the General Fund

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY TO THE EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT ADVERTISING LINE IN THE GENERAL FUND.

WHEREAS, an increase in Public Hearings during the 1996-1997 year has increased the need for notices to be published in the local newspapers; and

WHEREAS, this increase was unanticipated during the 1996-1997 budget process; and

WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 provides for the transfers of appropriations within a fund or from one fund to another by official resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF SWEET HOME DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

To transfer $3,000 from contingency to the Executive Department Advertising line in the General Fund.

This transfer would help cover the additional costs of newspaper notices that are required by law to be published before public hearings. This line was cut back during the 1996-1997 budget process.

PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this 24th day of June, 1997.
