A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE OREGON BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FUND PROJECT PROPOSAL BY FULLMER FOREST PRODUCTS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Sweet Home City Council finds that the development of Santiam Forest Products (The Project) by Fullmer Forest Products, Inc. would foster the economic development in Sweet Home; and
WHEREAS, ORS 285.413 requires, before the approval of an Oregon Business Development Fund project by the State of Oregon, that the governing body of the appropriate local government recommends The Project; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that The Project is permitted under Sweet Home's acknowledged Comprehensive Plan and is consistent with all applicable adopted local economic development plans; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the completion of The Project within the City of Sweet Home would be in the best interests of the citizens of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Sweet Home requests the Oregon Economic Development Commission to assist in the financing of The Project within the City of Sweet Home through Oregon Business Development Fund.
