Resolution No. 15 for 1997 - Authorizing the Transfer of Funds from Contingency to the Construction Expense Line in the City Hall ADA Grant Fund

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY TO THE CONSTRUCTION EXPENSE LINE IN THE CITY HALL ADA GRANT FUND.

WHEREAS, the cost of constructing the ADA accessibility improvements to City Hall are more than the $220,229 . budgeted; and

WHEREAS, the funds are from an Oregon Economic Development grant awarded to the City in 1995; and

WHEREAS, the State has already approved the same contingency transfer in the City's grant; and

WHEREAS, this increase was unanticipated during the 1996-1997 budget process; and

WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 provides for the transfers of appropriations within a fund or from one fund to another by official resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF SWEET HOME DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

To transfer $18, 514 from contingency to the construction expense line in the City Hall ADA Grant Fund.

This transfer would help cover the additional costs of constructing the handicapped accessibility improvements to City Hall. The balance of the costs will be taken care of out of the Building Reserved Fund as approved in the May supplemental budget.
