A RESOLUTION CONCERNING A STREET CLOSURE.

WHEREAS, from August 26, 1998 to May 20, 1999 the Linn County Affordable Housing has requested the temporary closure of the public right-of-way between Elm Street and Fir Street on 18th Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the current access is restricted to though traffic due to no paved, or gravel section; and

WHEREAS, the use of this area will be for construction, material storage, equipment storage, contractors parking, and construction activity staging areas; and

WHEREAS, the contractor will have appropriate erosion control measures to prevent offsite debris, on site work place safety measures, and will be responsible and liable for activities within the right-of-way of 18th Avenue between Elm Street and Fir Street during the closure time; and

WHEREAS, the perimeter of the right-of-way will be fenced, gated, locked, and signed as a construction zone and marked as "Closed to Through Traffic"; and

WHEREAS, due to the residential nature of the area, construction activity will be restricted to the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and no interruption of water service will be later than 3:00 p.m. to the adjacent properties; and

WHEREAS, emergency dispatch will be notified of the closure and of the reopening; and

WHEREAS, upon completion of the building and infrastructure, the street improvements on 18th Avenue will be constructed per approved plan; and

WHEREAS, upon completion of the entire project the street right-of-way will be reopened;

NOW THEREFORE, the City of Sweet Home does resolve as follows:

Traffic regulations shall be kept in effect as follows:

From 8:00 a.m. on August 26, 1998 to 3 :00 p.m. on May 20, 1999 traffic sign documentation will designate the right-of-way on 18th A venue between Elm Street and Fir Street as "Closed to Through Traffic".
