Details
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE SWEET HOME SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 55 AND THE CITY OF SWEET HOME REGARDING OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PROPOSED NEW COMMUNITY POOL.
WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home recognizes the importance of having an adequate swimming pool facility to serve the citizens of Sweet Home; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home and the Sweet Home School District have in the past and currently cooperatively share in the provision of community recreation-related facilities and programs; and
WHEREAS, the Sweet Home School District has included plans for the construction of a new pool in the proposed School Improvement Bond scheduled for the Spring of 2001, if the City will agree to a cost share for the facility; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home and the Sweet Home School District No. 55 agree to jointly and equally support the maintenance and operation of the new swimming facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Sweet Home by and through its City Council does agree to equally share in the maintenance and operation costs of a new swimming pool should voters approve the Spring 2001 Bond Measure.
PASSED by the Council and approved by the Mayor this 9th day of January 2001.
