Resolution No. 5 for 1998 - Authorizing the Transfer of Funds from Contingency to the Non-Departmental Equipment/Machinery Line in the General Fund

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY TO THE NON-DEPARTMENTAL EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY LINE IN THE GENERAL FUND.

WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home has requested bids for a new telephone system for City Hall, the Police Department and Library Department, and

WHEREAS, CenturyTel (formally PTI) has submitted a bid in the amount of $19,560; and

WHEREAS, the total amount of a new telephone system was unanticipated during the 1997-1998 budget process; and

WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 provides for the transfers of appropriations within a fund or from one fund to another by official resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF SWEET HOME DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

To transfer $9,560 from contingency to the nondepartmental equipment/machinery line in the General Fund.

This transfer would cover $9,560 of the $19,560 bid submitted by CenturyTel (formally PTI). The balance of $10, 000 was already approved by Council in the 1997-1998 Adopted Operating Budget .

PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this 26th day of May, 1998.
