Details
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE ICEBOX COOK OFF, WATER TREATMENT PLANT PROPERTY USE AND ROAD CLOSURES.
WHEREAS, on July 5th, July 6th, and July 7th, 2024, the Sweet Events Oregon/SHEDG will hold a barbeque cook off, requiring the use of the field north of the water treatment plant; and close the Water Treatment Plant Easement and
WHEREAS, traffic patterns and parking issues need to be addressed to accommodate the events; and
WHEREAS, Sweet Home Municipal Code 10.04.030 provides that the City Council may, by resolution, establish or alter traffic and parking control;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Sweet Home does resolve as follows:
Traffic and parking regulations shall be kept in effect as follows:
A. From 8:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2024, to 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 7, 2024, allow for parking and competitor camping.
B. From 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2024, and 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2024, close the Water Treatment Plant Easement at the intersection of 47th Avenue.
C. Appropriate and authorized fencing, signs, barricades or other markings which shall be installed by the Sweet Events Oregon/SHEDG, at their own cost, to carry out the provisions of this resolution, and they shall become effective upon their installation pursuant to this resolution.
