Details
A RESOLUTION DISSOLVING THE ALL HAZARD MITIGATION PLANNING COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home City Council established the All Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee (MPC) in 1996 to support the Flood Mitigation Planning Process; and
WHEREAS, said committee is no longer required to support hazard mitigation planning for the City of Sweet Home; and
WHEREAS, the MPC has not convened in several years; and
WHEREAS, the composition of the committee established by Resolution No. 40 for 1996 is no longer feasible due to organizational changes; and
WHEREAS, the Public and Traffic Safety Committee and Community Health Committee have been codified to include consideration of community hazards and associated resources; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate staff resources to accomplish the mitigation actions assigned to the MPC in the 2022-2027 Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Sweet Home resolves as follows:
The All Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee is hereby dissolved.
