Resolution No. 7 for 1998 - Authorizing the Transfer of Funds from Contingency to the Non-Departmental Professional Services Line in the General Fund

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY TO THE NON-DEPARTMENTAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES LINE IN THE GENERAL FUND.

WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home entered into an agreement with Mr. James Corl in January of 1997, to pay him nine months of severance in exchange for his resignation from his position of City Manager; and

WHEREAS, the total amount of these costs were unanticipated during the 1997-1998 budget process; and

WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 provides for the transfers of appropriations within a fund or from one fund to another by official resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF SWEET HOME DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

To transfer $9,750 from contingency to the nondepartmental professional services line in the General Fund.

This transfer would cover $9,750 of the $21,250 paid to Mr. Corl in severance pay during the 1997-98 year. The balance of $11,500 was covered by a transfer from the City Manager's salary line in the Executive Department.

PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this 9th day of June, 1998.
