Resolution No. 8 for 1998 - Authorizing the Transfer of Funds from Contingency to the Finance & Municipal Court Equipment/Machinery Lines in the General Fund

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY TO THE FINANCE AND MUNICIPAL COURT EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY LINES IN THE GENERAL FUND.

WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home would like to begin taking credit/debit cards from customers to pay for utility and Municipal Court payment; and

WHEREAS, Heartland Card Services will offer the card services; and

WHEREAS, Electronic Data Supply, LLC will sell the credit card processing equipment; and

WHEREAS, the cost of purchasing the processing equipment was unanticipated during the 1997-1998 budget process; and

WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 provides for the transfers of appropriations within a fund or from one fund to another by official resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF SWEET HOME DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

To transfer $1,025 from contingency to the Finance equipment/machinery line in the General Fund; and

To transfer $1,025 from contingency to the Municipal Court equipment/machinery line the General Fund.

This transfer would purchase 2 Hypercom T7P Terminal/Printers and 2 S8 Secure PIN Pads in the amount of $2,050.

PASSED by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this 9th day of June, 1998.
