Resolution No. 9 for 2000 - Authorizing the Transfer of Funds from Contingency to the Non-Departmental Professional Services Line in the General Fund

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM CONTINGENCY TO THE NON-DEPARTMENTAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES LINE IN THE GENERAL FUND.

WHEREAS, the City of Sweet Home has experienced some major land use appeals during the fiscal year; and

WHEREAS, in light of these appeals, outside legal counsel was hired to advise City Council and staff; and

WHEREAS, the cost of these legal services was unanticipated during the 1999-2000 budget process; and

WHEREAS, ORS 294.450 provides for the transfers of appropriations within a fund or from one fund to another by official resolution of the City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY OF SWEET HOME DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

To transfer $10,540 from contingency to the Non-departmental Professional Services expense line in the General Fund.

This transfer would fund the cost of hiring outside legal counsel this fiscal year not to exceed $10,540.
