Boil Order Notice Ends for Sweet Home
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SWEET HOME, Ore. August 23, 2022 — Water advisory ends for City of Sweet Home customers on the west side of Sweet Home from 10th Avenue to the Strawberry Heights subdivision and Highway 20/Main Street to Gilbert Lane, including Vista Lane and 1st Avenue thru 10th Avenue.
Customers impacted by yesterday's notice can use tap water for all purposes. The Boil Order Notice is lifted. Sweet Home's water quality is within normal standards.
Before using the tap water, however, the City of Sweet Home advises customers to throw out ice, flush faucets, flush other appliances, etc., to ensure the removal of all potentially contaminated water.
On August 22, 2022, a Boil Order advisory was issued to customers on the west side of Sweet Home because of a water main break in the Pleasant Valley Bridge and to protect public health.
Public Works Director Greg Springman stated, "We appreciate our customers' patience as we worked to resolve this issue."
Customers with questions or suggestions may contact Dominic Valloni, Public Works Operations Manager at City of Sweet Home, (541) 367-6359 dvalloni@sweethomeor.gov.
