Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update - 11
SWEET HOME, Ore. March 20, 2020, 5:48 p.m.— At the time of this press release, there are no reported COVID-19 cases within Sweet Home. Please continue to practice social distancing as outlined in Governor Brown’s orders of no events over 25 people through at least April 14, 2020. Additionally, it’s recommended that all of us avoid gatherings of 10 people or more.
We also ask you to help us keep our healthcare system strong by doing following:
-
If you have symptoms that are mild enough you would not typically seek medical treatment, stay home, rest and monitor your symptoms.
-
People who need non-emergency medical care should call their health care provider before showing up at a clinic.
-
If they are physically able, individuals who need emergency care should tell 911 and the hospital about any known exposure to someone with COVID-19 and travel to any affected areas.
All Oregon small businesses are now eligible for Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help with meet their financial obligations and expenses. These loans are available in amounts up to $2 million, over terms as long as 30 years. For more information, go to Disaster Loan Assistance.
In addition, the City of Sweet Home is considering a grant program that could cover some or all of the interest charged on these loans. If you are interested in the SBA Disaster Loan Program, or would consider loans if a grant was also provided, please contact Blair Larsen, at blarsen@sweethomeor.gov.
