Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update - 15
SWEET HOME, Ore. April 13, 2020, 5:25 p.m.— At the time of this press release, there has been one (1) confirmed COVID-19 case within Sweet Home. Linn County COVID-19 cases are now listed at 52 with the overall Oregon count at 1,584.
We have done a great job in flattening the curve. But this first confirmed case in our community is a reminder to be diligent in staying the course. The finish line is in sight... So, please, continue to take the necessary precautions to protect yourselves and your loved ones.
- Stay home as much as possible (kids, too.)
- Go out only for essentials (groceries, medical care.)
- Drop food off to neighbors who can’t go out.
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds.
- Do not touch your eyes, mouth, nose, or face with unwashed hands.
- Practice social distancing of 6 feet.
- Exercise outside (hiking, biking) with members of your household only.
- Call your primary care provider or, if you do not have a primary care provider, your local urgent care if you have any symptoms including a fever, shortness of breath, and cough.
Our city staff continue to work diligently for our community while mitigating their risk of exposure.
