Path to Reopening Sweet Home - 3
SWEET HOME, Ore. June 5, 2020, 5:50 p.m.— Thursday, June 4th, Oregon Governor Kate Brown and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) approved Linn County's move to Phase II of Reopening Oregon.
The Sweet Home City Manager Ray Towry determined that on Monday, June 8th, 2020, the following city services will transition into Phase II operations status:
- City Parks: OPEN, per Oregon Health Authority guidance, the playground, sports courts, and gazebos, will remain closed.
- Library: Beginning on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020, the facility will open to the public. Until then, patrons can continue accessing books online through Library2Go and our Library Curbside Pickup.
- Finance/Utility Billing: OPEN Monday- Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Municipal Court: OPEN, Court sessions on June 10th will be held following OHA requirements.
- Do not attend court if sick.
- Remain 6 feet between individuals
- Face masks or coverings are required.
- Courtroom capacity limited to 10 defendants.
- Some individuals may need to wait outside the building until their case is called.
- Do not bring additional individuals (parents, spouse, friends, etc.) inside the courtroom.
- Police: OPEN Public fingerprinting and animal complaint responses are still suspended. We are offering prescription medication pick-up/delivery to vulnerable 65+. Details HERE
- Public Works: Fully operational while CLOSED to the public. We are accepting deliveries. The team continues to work on projects across the city. They have staggered shifts and lunch breaks, implement one staff member per vehicle and practice physical distancing while working to limit contact.
- Community & Economic Development:
- The Building Program is processing various applications & inspection requests online, via phone or email from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Meetings and in-person communication by appointment only (541) 367-7993.
