Water & Sewer Utility Shutoff Deferment Ending
SWEET HOME, Ore September 4, 2020 – At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Sweet Home suspended utility shutoff due to non-payment. During the past six months, many of our water and sewer utility customers who were financially impacted by the economic downturn have established payment plans.
For customers with past-due accounts who have not enrolled in a repayment plan, the City of Sweet Home will return to standard disconnection procedures effective September 8th, 2020.
To avoid disconnection of services and additional fees, we encourage customers with past-due accounts to immediately:
- Pay any past-due balance in full, or
- Enroll in a payment plan
We understand the challenges some customers are facing. Our Finance department staff want to work with each individual to find solutions. Customers struggling to pay their bills, should contact our office at 541-367-5128 Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
