Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for the fiscal management of the City of Sweet Home.

This includes:
  • Accounts payable
  • General accounting
  • Payroll
  • Preparing the annual budget
  • The City’s annual audit

The Finance Department is also responsible for:

  • Overseeing of the Transient Occupancy Tax program
  • Processing passport applications
  • Coordinating the City’s employee benefit program
  • Reviewing unclaimed property prior to sending reports to the state
  • Maintaining financial records relating to grants and contracts

Recognition
  • The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the City of Sweet Home Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards for 1992, 1993, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2010, and 2017. The City of Sweet Home also received Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 2001, 2002, and 2003. 
  • The presentation of these awards demonstrates that the City of Sweet Home has achieved the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting.
