Sweet Home Police Department's Newest Officer
SWEET HOME, Ore. December 28, 2021 — We want to introduce the Sweet Home Police Department's newest officer, Tyler Robinson. Robinson began his career with us on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Tyler grew up in Linn County and still has family in the area. He attended Linn-Benton Community College then Western Oregon University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Officer Robinson has volunteer and paid experience as a Reserve and a Marine Deputy with the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
Tyler chose to work as a full-time Police Officer in Sweet Home because of the small-town feel. As he develops his career in law enforcement, he hopes to positively impact our community.
Sweet Home City Manager Ray Towry said, "We are excited to have Tyler join our team. We look forward to watching him grow and become a part of our community."
Currently, Officer Robinson & his wife live in the Lebanon area, where they enjoy many outdoor activities together.
Officer Robinson's Swearing-In Ceremony will occur at a later date.
If you would like to join our department, applications can be found at sweethomeor.gov/jobs.
