Sweet Home Police Investigate Gun Fire
SWEET HOME, Ore. October 12, 2021 — On Tuesday, October 12th, at approximately 12:48 AM, the Sweet Home Police Department received several reports of shots being fired in the area of the 2400 block of Main Street in Sweet Home. Officers responded to the area and confirmed that several shots had been fired.
The building located at 2434 Main Street, Casa De Reyes, had been struck by bullets, and one of the Starlight Apartment buildings had been hit. A bullet struck the front door of one of the apartments, entered the apartment, struck the wall, and entered a second apartment. Both apartments were occupied at the time, and no individuals were injured.
Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored hatchback vehicle leaving the area at the time of the shots.
Officers have collected evidence at the scene and are actively working the investigation.
