Sweet Home Police Respond to Fatal Fire
SWEET HOME, Ore. April 28, 2020 — On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at approximately 6:51 a.m., the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District and the Sweet Home Police Department responded to a reported house fire at 1530 Tamarack Street, space #29, Sweet Home, Linn County, Oregon. When fire personnel arrived, they located a structure heavily involved with fire. Upon entry into the home, the staff discovered four individuals deceased.
The Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District, as well as the City of Sweet Home, wishes to express our sincere condolences to the family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask everyone in the community to support the grieving family and friends.
Members of the State Fire Marshal’s Office, Oregon State Police Arson Investigation Unit, and the Linn County Medical Examiner will assist with the fire investigation.
