Sweet Home Police Respond to Fatal Fire - 2

SWEET HOME, Ore. April 28, 2020 2:20 p.m. — Officers and investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office, Oregon State Police Arson Investigation Unit, and the Linn County Medical Examiner are continuing to work at the scene of a fire reported this morning in Sweet Home. There are no additional details at this time. 

The City of Sweet Home and Sweet Home Fire District wish to express our sincere condolences to the family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask everyone in the community to support the grieving family and friends.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at approximately 6:51 a.m., the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District and the Sweet Home Police Department responded to a reported house fire at 1530 Tamarack Street, space #29, Sweet Home, Linn County, Oregon. When fire personnel arrived, they located a structure engulfed in fire. Upon entry into the home, the staff discovered four deceased individuals.  

There will be no further information on this incident until a third news release tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
